From July 15-19 2024, the 2024 World Youth Choral Festival and the First Greater Bay Area Choral Festival were held at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. The Children's Choir from Changshu won the double gold awards in the Children's Voice Group and the Folk Song Group.? Famous choral composers and conductors from Mainland China, Hong Kong, the United States, Russia, Germany and other places, as well as nearly 60 teams from 23 countries and regions, totaling more than 2,600 people attended this choral feast.
On the day of the competition, Changshu's Children's Choir sang the works "Lightning" and "Ta Sha Xing" in the children's voice group competition, and performed two works full of national sentiment in the folk song group competition, "I am in the West, My home is in the East" and "Dong Dong Kui", which won the audience and judges' praise, and won the gold medals of the two groups, gaining the honor for the hometown Changshu at the international tournament.
